In Key Magazine Writers Picks: Vita’s Top Ten Albums Of 2018

2018 has been a great year for music. So many good albums have come out that I could easily make a top 25 rather than a top 10. (Even though ranking albums is very hard to do if they are all of an equally high quality!) But since this is a top 10 list, I’d like to give some shout-outs to artists that didn’t make the cut. Because a year that has so many great albums that not even Panic! at the Disco and Twenty One Pilots make it into the top 10 has some pretty neat music, and that music deserves to be recognised.

So here it goes, shout-out to: Without Andrew, ashestoangels, many (many) pop-punk bands, Panic!, TØP, Ruben Hein, Ninja Sex Party, Dead!, BTS, Day6, Princess Chelsea, Don Broco, as well as EP makers such as IDKHOW, Nothing But Thieves and As Sirens Fall. And also to the lovely Franz Ferdinand, whose album  ‘Always Ascending’ I loved to hear both live and on CD, as well as to many more that I didn’t name!

But the biggest shout-out goes to Jack and The Weatherman for bringing their lovely debut album ‘The Lucky Ones’ into this world, and for inspiring everyone with their uplifting live shows.

Curious to see who did make the list? Well, let’s take a look…
